A New Year Looms!

In an effort to make money online people jump in before they are properly prepared.
You know that to be a Lawyer, a Doctor, a Brick layer, an office worker, a teacher there are things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don't just start totally unprepared.

The same principle applies to Internet marketing even though there are people out there who'd have you believe it's a doddle and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.
Internet Marketing is easy compared to what you have to put up with in the working world clocking in, being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

Most people will not make any money online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year.
Why is that?
There is no hard and fast reason but to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products or services of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense simply means that you've researched and like the company and products or services.
It is then that you translate that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany Passion.

Many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything.
But most of us are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.
Passion is not the only thing necessary however, to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, etc.
Those things are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught.

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in.
It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion.
If you don't find it move on, You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I'll start that business - does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion.
And remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" does that, don't be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it's your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don't first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

So Good - I Joined it Twice!

I am now earning a very healthy monthly income from this so rather than upgrade, I have joined again as an upgraded member, which might seem odd but as I get 50% residual commission every month off myself, it's actually a sensible thing to do.
I'm going to leave all my current promotional links in place and concentrate on the new site for my ongoing marketing activities.
I think I actually know what I'm doing at last and I just have to work out how to put it all together as a single complete package.
I have made a start with my Freetrafficforu site but it's still a bit too cumbersome and needs trimming down a bit as I am probably trying to do too much from the one site.
I think I need to do more niche sites such as the ones I already have at:-Guaranteed Traffic, Big Profits For You, UK Horse Racing Tips which all address different segments and markets and can all seamlessly cross promote each other.
A perfect example of this is my book store, which is included in the index of each site as Books and links to the relevant section of my book store.
On a totally different front I have removed all my listings from E-Bay as I had over 1500 items listed and really I was only making a small profit each month but earning loads of cash for e-bay with my fees averaging £300 per month!
I am moving everything (Very slowly) to E-Bid which has No Listing fees and charge just 2% of final sales and that's only if you have a gallery picture.
You can actually list for nothing!!!

eBid Online Auctions GBP

They only have about a tenth of the users that E-Bay does but I reckon a lot more people will make the switch with the big brother type tactics that E-Bay are employing these days.

Beat The Credit Crunch!

The world has gone mad with Banks running scared, afraid to lend to each other and certainly not to Joe public. I find it incredible the way the bankers and politicians are acting, it's almost as if they have only just realised that all economies since we abandoned the Gold Standard have been smoke and mirrors, a sort of Emperor's new clothes syndrome where as long as we all believe then it works!
Once that belief goes the whole edifice crumbles as value is only what someone will pay and they will only pay if they believe the perceived value isn't going to fall as soon as they hand over the cash. This has resulted in all the institutions getting out of the banking sector and adding to the crisis by lowering the values of the banks whichin turn just ups their capital requirements and lessens the liquidity even further thus creating a vortex down which all the carefully nurtured wealth of the western world seem to spiral.
For the ordinary individual the crisis is not about whether their savings are safe its the knock on effects that the loss of belief causes by almost stopping dead all discretionary spending which in turn leads to job losses either from lack of orders or administration through lack of liquidity and the banks pulling the plug. This all escalates and as the banks stop lending, more and more companies go bust and obviously all the newly out of work stop spending and start claiming benefits and round and round it goes and no single act can stop it. Most people are just sitting there like rabbits in the headlights not knowing how to avoid this run away train as it thunders inexorably towards them however there are a few well placed individuals who will make fortunes from this crisis and you can be one of them.
You have to take control while you still have some funds and start looking to make money online, as if you act now you'll be in a great position when the masses suddenly realise that there is no fairy godmother out there. You will be well placed to take all these fledgling internet newbies and show them exactly how to avoid the scams and find real businesses that with a small amount of cash and a lot of application can set them free turning their computers into virtual cash machines.
Personally I don't think you can beat the excellent step by step guidance given by Stone Evans which combined with my Free Traffic generation techniques will put most people on the right track from the beginning with the main investment being time which of course the newly jobless will have plenty of!
Time is of the essence though, as its a real case of early bird catches the worm! A perfect example of this is my situation at SFI where I decided to upgrade in January this year - 2008- and now in October just over 9 months later I have over 90 people in my downline and make a cheque every month but to do that I have had to stick at it, promoting non stop, following religiously all the different methods shown to me in the lessons from Stone Evans and also using the Free Traffic techniques for an hour per day every day without fail.
Should anyone be reading this I can't stress enough how important it is to make a start and beat the herd as the real economy has had it for a while and cash will be king and this is the best way I know to earn it!
I hope you take all this on board and take those first tiny steps towards putting your future in your own hands rather than some faceless wimp of a banker who's forgotten his whole raison D'etre!

Summer Mayhem winds down

My summer madness doing all the internal advertising at the UK Music festivals is over now with the completion of Reading & Leeds festivals and I ease off a bit till May 2009 when it all starts again with the Radio 1 Big Weekend.
I have managed to keep on top of my online activities fairly well and have now got a few businesses that are generating steady monthly incomes, most of which I have re invested by going pro on the traffic exchanges and credit based safelists which hopefully will accelerate my income growth.
My key earners are David Hall Advertising Services , Prodigious Profits, and PIPS.
I now have 60 people in my downline in SFI which is a key part of the PIPS group of programmes and I am begining to see an acceleration in the monthly sales and commissions.
I need to re work my traffic generation lessons a bit to reflect all I have learnt this year and enable more people to replicate what I am gradually achieving in terms of building a business that looks like eventually providing a sustainable nett monthly income.
The big problem most of my downline face is the lack of really discernible results for the first 2 or 3 months and they end up quitting just as they are about to reap the rewards of their efforts.
I stress at every turn that the methods I share at freetrafficforu are not a get rich quick scheme and require serious work and dedication but despite this only a few people have the required drive and determination to succeed.
Duplication is the key in networking and marketing online and if you get your downline members using the freetrafficforu system you will be astounded by the long term results, the real trick is in understanding that it's rather like trying to push a broken down car on a flat surface - you strain and push and it hardly moves for ages but once you do get some movement it gets easier and almost has a momentum of its own and accelerates toward the slope you were aiming for where it will turn into a runaway bobsled!

Test The Headlines!

Test the headlines!
The number one factor in selling is getting your adverts read!
Whether it's the "above the fold" words on your splash page the
headline on your website homepage, your subject line in your email,
the headline of a Text Ad, or the first words you speak over the phone
in a sales call.
You have milliseconds to grab your potential customers interest
and it's these first few words that do it!
It's the difference between success or failure in any campaign.
So how do you know whichheadlines work?
For the average marketer that hasn't got a huge advertising budget
the answer is actually really simple - You just copy everyone else!

You probably receive hundreds maybe even thousands of emails every day
all trying to sell you their products and these can be farmed and re used
to advertise your own products using other peoples headlines!

The headlines you want to use will leap out at you but don't just rely on
your own personal taste as everyone is different and we all have
different triggers that make us click on a link.

The way I do it is to wite down all the headlines that grab my interest but also
all the ones that I see repeatedly because these would not still be used if they were
not proving effective!

You could then go and buy guaranteed traffic campaigns and test the different
headlines that way, but it would be a very expensive test!

Personally I log into my Hypertracker account and create a campaign url
to go with each headline then use my businessworldlist account to send an email
and test the response to each headline.

This takes time as I can email 80,000 every 2 days but at least I am
using the same target market all the time and when a headline gets a good response
in hypertracker clicks I then know I can use it effectively on my own lists and other
safe lists and paid for advertising.

Headlines are the most critical part of any marketing
campaign - so don't spend money on any advertisement without
first testing the Headline.

The Madness continues

I finally have a quieter day although I will still be busy trying to catch up on site development work. I have managed to deal with a lot of the urgent matters by email from the different hotels I have been staying in in the evenings.
I am back in leeds and the Glastonbury posters are up and looking good and Kate and Louis go in every morning at 6am to check and do any repairs. The Mandela posters are up either side of the stage in Hyde Park and Chris and his 3 other team members are going in there tonight after the Mandela show to change everything over for Hard Rock calling before 10am which is a pretty hard stint of work but I think they should manage ok.
I am back down in London on Monday to sort out the Wireless work and get everything under way then sort out the work for Wakestock in North Wales and Wild in the Country at Knebworth which are both next weekend.
All this driving around has made my usual site development work difficult and has really impacted on my online businesses although some of them are so automated now that they seem to make good forward progress with little attention from me.
I have even managed to be part of a Joint venture Launch of a new traffic exchange during this period and done relatively well with a healthy downline under me now.
I have found an additional list building advertising site called List Auction which has helped a lot in increasing my sales.
Managing my Ebay sales has probably proved the most challenging part of being away as whenever I make a sale I have to email the customer and let them know I am away and when I'll be able to pack and post the item. Obviously this means as yesterday when I got back, rushing round finding the items packing and sending them off before attending to anything else.
I've probably bored to death any readers by now as despite my fairly hectic schedule I can't imagine the minutiae of my day to day existence is really of any interest to anyone else unless they're wanting to keep tabs on me!
I have followed the crowd with my driving style by trying to conserve fuel through a massive change in my driving habits, which has seen me tootling about at a steady 55mph unless I hit a hill when I refuse to accelelerate and have sometimes slowed to around 35mph! I actually find it quite relaxing and instead of getting 450 to 500 miles from a tank I am getting about 650 which means I'm getting 10 miles per litre instead of about 7.5 which at £1.30 per litre is about £20 per tank saving.
The positive side of the fuel increase is that I notice the roads are definitely quieter than usual as people find alternatives and that makes life a lot easier when you are doing over 40,000 miles per year!
I'm looking at a way you can run your car on water but I'm not sure I can be bothered with it although if the increases continue I may have no choice!
I must get on with other things now but will endeavour to post something a bit more interesting next time.

Festivals get into gear with Download

My mad 3 months starts now with the Download Festival at Donington Park. I have to sort out all the posting of the internal music advertising on the fencing prior to the events then repairing all the damages each morning before the arena re-opens to the public.
We've had a nice slow build up with the opener being Radio 1 Big weekend followed by Gatecrasher but from here on its mad with loads of festivals culminating in August with 2 V festivals (Chelmsford /Stafford) at the same time and 2 Carling (Reading/Leeds).
I also in August have to act as a sort of liaison between the hundreds of promoters at Edinburgh festival and the local flyposters, endeavouring to keep all sides happy which is a pretty impossible task, but I at least stop them all coming to blows over the fact that there are probably 1000 events all wanting their posters on about 3 streets!
The festival work is very intensive for the first 2 and a half days starting off thinking you'll never get it all done but usually getting there with a couple of hours to spare, then if you're lucky you get there on show days at 5am and there's hardly any damage and its money for old rope. However if its rained or the posters are really attractive and the kids have nicked them you're at it till they throw you off site posting as fast as you can and you really know what work is then.
Doesn't help matters that all the fencing companies are now using a waxed anti posting finish for their fence panels so we have to mix the paste extra thick and tape everything along the top of the fence with extra wide gaffa so that if the fence heats up and the paste gets blown off by the heat the posters stay in place and we can just repair the next morning rather than having to totally repost.
While all this is going on I still have to do all this online stuff which probably takes me about 3 hours a day even with most of it being just about on auto pilot. I also attempt to keep up with my site development work in Birmingham Sheffield and Edinburgh but thankfully I can do a lot of this by phone and email.
Just realised I haven't mentioned a single online business yet!
I suppose it makes a nice change.
