A New Year Looms!

In an effort to make money online people jump in before they are properly prepared.
You know that to be a Lawyer, a Doctor, a Brick layer, an office worker, a teacher there are things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don't just start totally unprepared.

The same principle applies to Internet marketing even though there are people out there who'd have you believe it's a doddle and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.
Internet Marketing is easy compared to what you have to put up with in the working world clocking in, being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

Most people will not make any money online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year.
Why is that?
There is no hard and fast reason but to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products or services of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense simply means that you've researched and like the company and products or services.
It is then that you translate that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany Passion.

Many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything.
But most of us are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.
Passion is not the only thing necessary however, to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, etc.
Those things are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught.

Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in.
It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion.
If you don't find it move on, You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I'll start that business - does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion.
And remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" does that, don't be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it's your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don't first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

So Good - I Joined it Twice!

I am now earning a very healthy monthly income from this so rather than upgrade, I have joined again as an upgraded member, which might seem odd but as I get 50% residual commission every month off myself, it's actually a sensible thing to do.
I'm going to leave all my current promotional links in place and concentrate on the new site for my ongoing marketing activities.
I think I actually know what I'm doing at last and I just have to work out how to put it all together as a single complete package.
I have made a start with my Freetrafficforu site but it's still a bit too cumbersome and needs trimming down a bit as I am probably trying to do too much from the one site.
I think I need to do more niche sites such as the ones I already have at:-Guaranteed Traffic, Big Profits For You, UK Horse Racing Tips which all address different segments and markets and can all seamlessly cross promote each other.
A perfect example of this is my book store, which is included in the index of each site as Books and links to the relevant section of my book store.
On a totally different front I have removed all my listings from E-Bay as I had over 1500 items listed and really I was only making a small profit each month but earning loads of cash for e-bay with my fees averaging £300 per month!
I am moving everything (Very slowly) to E-Bid which has No Listing fees and charge just 2% of final sales and that's only if you have a gallery picture.
You can actually list for nothing!!!

eBid Online Auctions GBP

They only have about a tenth of the users that E-Bay does but I reckon a lot more people will make the switch with the big brother type tactics that E-Bay are employing these days.

Beat The Credit Crunch!

The world has gone mad with Banks running scared, afraid to lend to each other and certainly not to Joe public. I find it incredible the way the bankers and politicians are acting, it's almost as if they have only just realised that all economies since we abandoned the Gold Standard have been smoke and mirrors, a sort of Emperor's new clothes syndrome where as long as we all believe then it works!
Once that belief goes the whole edifice crumbles as value is only what someone will pay and they will only pay if they believe the perceived value isn't going to fall as soon as they hand over the cash. This has resulted in all the institutions getting out of the banking sector and adding to the crisis by lowering the values of the banks whichin turn just ups their capital requirements and lessens the liquidity even further thus creating a vortex down which all the carefully nurtured wealth of the western world seem to spiral.
For the ordinary individual the crisis is not about whether their savings are safe its the knock on effects that the loss of belief causes by almost stopping dead all discretionary spending which in turn leads to job losses either from lack of orders or administration through lack of liquidity and the banks pulling the plug. This all escalates and as the banks stop lending, more and more companies go bust and obviously all the newly out of work stop spending and start claiming benefits and round and round it goes and no single act can stop it. Most people are just sitting there like rabbits in the headlights not knowing how to avoid this run away train as it thunders inexorably towards them however there are a few well placed individuals who will make fortunes from this crisis and you can be one of them.
You have to take control while you still have some funds and start looking to make money online, as if you act now you'll be in a great position when the masses suddenly realise that there is no fairy godmother out there. You will be well placed to take all these fledgling internet newbies and show them exactly how to avoid the scams and find real businesses that with a small amount of cash and a lot of application can set them free turning their computers into virtual cash machines.
Personally I don't think you can beat the excellent step by step guidance given by Stone Evans which combined with my Free Traffic generation techniques will put most people on the right track from the beginning with the main investment being time which of course the newly jobless will have plenty of!
Time is of the essence though, as its a real case of early bird catches the worm! A perfect example of this is my situation at SFI where I decided to upgrade in January this year - 2008- and now in October just over 9 months later I have over 90 people in my downline and make a cheque every month but to do that I have had to stick at it, promoting non stop, following religiously all the different methods shown to me in the lessons from Stone Evans and also using the Free Traffic techniques for an hour per day every day without fail.
Should anyone be reading this I can't stress enough how important it is to make a start and beat the herd as the real economy has had it for a while and cash will be king and this is the best way I know to earn it!
I hope you take all this on board and take those first tiny steps towards putting your future in your own hands rather than some faceless wimp of a banker who's forgotten his whole raison D'etre!

Summer Mayhem winds down

My summer madness doing all the internal advertising at the UK Music festivals is over now with the completion of Reading & Leeds festivals and I ease off a bit till May 2009 when it all starts again with the Radio 1 Big Weekend.
I have managed to keep on top of my online activities fairly well and have now got a few businesses that are generating steady monthly incomes, most of which I have re invested by going pro on the traffic exchanges and credit based safelists which hopefully will accelerate my income growth.
My key earners are David Hall Advertising Services , Prodigious Profits, and PIPS.
I now have 60 people in my downline in SFI which is a key part of the PIPS group of programmes and I am begining to see an acceleration in the monthly sales and commissions.
I need to re work my traffic generation lessons a bit to reflect all I have learnt this year and enable more people to replicate what I am gradually achieving in terms of building a business that looks like eventually providing a sustainable nett monthly income.
The big problem most of my downline face is the lack of really discernible results for the first 2 or 3 months and they end up quitting just as they are about to reap the rewards of their efforts.
I stress at every turn that the methods I share at freetrafficforu are not a get rich quick scheme and require serious work and dedication but despite this only a few people have the required drive and determination to succeed.
Duplication is the key in networking and marketing online and if you get your downline members using the freetrafficforu system you will be astounded by the long term results, the real trick is in understanding that it's rather like trying to push a broken down car on a flat surface - you strain and push and it hardly moves for ages but once you do get some movement it gets easier and almost has a momentum of its own and accelerates toward the slope you were aiming for where it will turn into a runaway bobsled!

Test The Headlines!

Test the headlines!
The number one factor in selling is getting your adverts read!
Whether it's the "above the fold" words on your splash page the
headline on your website homepage, your subject line in your email,
the headline of a Text Ad, or the first words you speak over the phone
in a sales call.
You have milliseconds to grab your potential customers interest
and it's these first few words that do it!
It's the difference between success or failure in any campaign.
So how do you know whichheadlines work?
For the average marketer that hasn't got a huge advertising budget
the answer is actually really simple - You just copy everyone else!

You probably receive hundreds maybe even thousands of emails every day
all trying to sell you their products and these can be farmed and re used
to advertise your own products using other peoples headlines!

The headlines you want to use will leap out at you but don't just rely on
your own personal taste as everyone is different and we all have
different triggers that make us click on a link.

The way I do it is to wite down all the headlines that grab my interest but also
all the ones that I see repeatedly because these would not still be used if they were
not proving effective!

You could then go and buy guaranteed traffic campaigns and test the different
headlines that way, but it would be a very expensive test!

Personally I log into my Hypertracker account and create a campaign url
to go with each headline then use my businessworldlist account to send an email
and test the response to each headline.

This takes time as I can email 80,000 every 2 days but at least I am
using the same target market all the time and when a headline gets a good response
in hypertracker clicks I then know I can use it effectively on my own lists and other
safe lists and paid for advertising.

Headlines are the most critical part of any marketing
campaign - so don't spend money on any advertisement without
first testing the Headline.

The Madness continues

I finally have a quieter day although I will still be busy trying to catch up on site development work. I have managed to deal with a lot of the urgent matters by email from the different hotels I have been staying in in the evenings.
I am back in leeds and the Glastonbury posters are up and looking good and Kate and Louis go in every morning at 6am to check and do any repairs. The Mandela posters are up either side of the stage in Hyde Park and Chris and his 3 other team members are going in there tonight after the Mandela show to change everything over for Hard Rock calling before 10am which is a pretty hard stint of work but I think they should manage ok.
I am back down in London on Monday to sort out the Wireless work and get everything under way then sort out the work for Wakestock in North Wales and Wild in the Country at Knebworth which are both next weekend.
All this driving around has made my usual site development work difficult and has really impacted on my online businesses although some of them are so automated now that they seem to make good forward progress with little attention from me.
I have even managed to be part of a Joint venture Launch of a new traffic exchange during this period and done relatively well with a healthy downline under me now.
I have found an additional list building advertising site called List Auction which has helped a lot in increasing my sales.
Managing my Ebay sales has probably proved the most challenging part of being away as whenever I make a sale I have to email the customer and let them know I am away and when I'll be able to pack and post the item. Obviously this means as yesterday when I got back, rushing round finding the items packing and sending them off before attending to anything else.
I've probably bored to death any readers by now as despite my fairly hectic schedule I can't imagine the minutiae of my day to day existence is really of any interest to anyone else unless they're wanting to keep tabs on me!
I have followed the crowd with my driving style by trying to conserve fuel through a massive change in my driving habits, which has seen me tootling about at a steady 55mph unless I hit a hill when I refuse to accelelerate and have sometimes slowed to around 35mph! I actually find it quite relaxing and instead of getting 450 to 500 miles from a tank I am getting about 650 which means I'm getting 10 miles per litre instead of about 7.5 which at £1.30 per litre is about £20 per tank saving.
The positive side of the fuel increase is that I notice the roads are definitely quieter than usual as people find alternatives and that makes life a lot easier when you are doing over 40,000 miles per year!
I'm looking at a way you can run your car on water but I'm not sure I can be bothered with it although if the increases continue I may have no choice!
I must get on with other things now but will endeavour to post something a bit more interesting next time.

Festivals get into gear with Download

My mad 3 months starts now with the Download Festival at Donington Park. I have to sort out all the posting of the internal music advertising on the fencing prior to the events then repairing all the damages each morning before the arena re-opens to the public.
We've had a nice slow build up with the opener being Radio 1 Big weekend followed by Gatecrasher but from here on its mad with loads of festivals culminating in August with 2 V festivals (Chelmsford /Stafford) at the same time and 2 Carling (Reading/Leeds).
I also in August have to act as a sort of liaison between the hundreds of promoters at Edinburgh festival and the local flyposters, endeavouring to keep all sides happy which is a pretty impossible task, but I at least stop them all coming to blows over the fact that there are probably 1000 events all wanting their posters on about 3 streets!
The festival work is very intensive for the first 2 and a half days starting off thinking you'll never get it all done but usually getting there with a couple of hours to spare, then if you're lucky you get there on show days at 5am and there's hardly any damage and its money for old rope. However if its rained or the posters are really attractive and the kids have nicked them you're at it till they throw you off site posting as fast as you can and you really know what work is then.
Doesn't help matters that all the fencing companies are now using a waxed anti posting finish for their fence panels so we have to mix the paste extra thick and tape everything along the top of the fence with extra wide gaffa so that if the fence heats up and the paste gets blown off by the heat the posters stay in place and we can just repair the next morning rather than having to totally repost.
While all this is going on I still have to do all this online stuff which probably takes me about 3 hours a day even with most of it being just about on auto pilot. I also attempt to keep up with my site development work in Birmingham Sheffield and Edinburgh but thankfully I can do a lot of this by phone and email.
Just realised I haven't mentioned a single online business yet!
I suppose it makes a nice change.

Quick Results!

I felt I had to report back on this pretty quickly as having done as I said in yesterdays post, and mailed my list about the Profitmart site last night, I have already doubled my downline to 12 which will give me a monthly income from this one site of $100 with hopefully more to sign up throughout the day!

The Race tipping service that I operate with Nick Davies is at crunch point today and will either be massively in profit by the end of the day or back to where it was at the end of February about 40 points ahead.

Fingers Crossed!

Thats it for now. Short and Sweet!

Is it really possible to make money online?

Is it really possible to make money online?
This is the question all newbies and a lot of experienced online entrepreneurs continually ask themselves as they try one opportunity after another without success.
The answer obviously is yes otherwise I would hardly be writing this article would I!
Every so called Guru tells you that their opportunity will make you more money than you’ve ever seen, but you join, spend money on adverts, traffic and solo ads and then give up when you’ve spent a couple of hundred dollars and not got anything back, so what’s different about me?
Nothing really - apart from I’m not a Guru and I will tell you straight that if you expect to join any of my recommended businesses and make instant profits you will not be a happy bunny!
I can however on the upside teach you how, with a system, planning, focus, a very small financial investment and most important of all, a regular commitment of your time, you can slowly build up a source of visitors and your own mailing list that will ultimately become a stream of cash that you can tap at will!
None of this can be done without a serious investment of time! All the promises of instant profit are playing on the natural greed of us humans even the ones that promise to send you traffic and close sales for you won’t deliver instantly.
I joined such a programme in January and despite having had over 30,000 unique visitors to my affiliate site I have only 6 people in my downline although this does mean a profit of $40 per month after my affiliate fees of $20. The reason I am sharing this with you is just to reinforce how many people you have to show your opportunity to for any kind of return (and also in the hope you’ll sign up!).
I have left this programme to its own devices till now just to see how the operators delivered on their promises and now, as I have been in profit for the last 3 months I am going to promote the programme to my mailing lists which should deliver a much better conversion rate.
Any person wanting to make money online (as in life) needs first to equip themselves with the right information and tools for the job, then apply themselves fully to the task at hand.
The old cliché ‘Fail to plan then you plan to Fail’ doesn’t mean there is any single correct answer out there, but it does mean that all the solutions have one thing in common which is a plan, that when put into practice will deliver visitors to your business in a constant stream.
You must be aware that not all visitors are equal!
The 30,000 unique visitors delivered above will be as a result of pop unders or exit pop ups or some other automated traffic delivery system and that explains the poor conversion rate whereas your own list should deliver that number of sales to every 1000 visitors or so. This doesn’t mean that the automated systems are worthless but it does mean you don’t want to be paying too much money for the visitors delivered and you also have to design your capture page to make an instant impact and call to action as you probably only have fractions of a second to get your message over.
Your mailing list on the other hand should be very responsive but you have to be careful about the offers you pass on to these people as once your credibility is blown you won’t make any sales at all!
You’re probably now thinking to yourself that all this is just common sense and that you know everything I have said - and you probably do!
But do you use this information every day to build your business?
If you do that’s great and you are probably moving steadily towards whatever your financial goals are, however most people flit from one ‘Magic Pill’ to another never settling down to the daily grind of building their business which is the only sure way of succeeding on or off line.
I have a free re-brandable marketing course available for you to download at my website which will help you generate free visitors and build a responsive mailing list.

Fighting the credit crunch

I have been busy trying to stave off the effects of the global credit crunch.
We have printed 8 different business card size promotional offers, with different messages and hopefully we'll determine which ones work and which don't.
This is a technique I use very successfully in my online businesses as with inexpensive software available, in a few hours time, you can be adept at creating quality looking business cards for any type of business.
This in itself is a another income stream as working with a local printer, you can offer to create business cards for business owners and even arrange to have them printed for them. This reduces the amount of down time they would have to spend in going to the printer, designing the cards and then picking them up when they are done. Saving them time is the same as saving them money and they are usually willing to share those savings.
My online activities are still pretty much on the back burner out here but the sales are still being made especially in Profitmart which seems now to have a life of its own!
I am also getting more and more people taking up my free marketing lessons at Freetrafficforu although the follow through to actually using the system is still very low. I am not surprised by this as its a hell of a lot of work to get set up and until you've used it you do not understand the awesome power of the method.

Search Engine Submission Done Right!

Hi everyone!

Probably just me and the dog but here goes anyway!

You have an affiliate website, but how do you expect to make some real hard core cash from it unless you can ensure a constant stream of visitors. Generating consistent traffic to your website is as important in Internet marketing as it is to have a product or a service on offer. You may have the best product and the best services, but the point is to be visible and to let your prospects know that you are there. This is where Internet marketing comes in to the limelight and since visibility in the search engines is decisive to your success here, search engine indexing and a higher ranking becomes equally important. i have found a great utility to make the whole task easier at http://viralurl.com/Ghenghis/spin

This is one of the leading search engine submission services specialising in encouraging and facilitating the top earning affiliate websites and they can do the same for you as well. Whatever your predilection in terms of choice of services and products, they massively increase the amount of traffic to your website, thereby rocketing your bottom line like never before.
http://viralurl.com/Ghenghis/spin

My biggest earner in terms of consistent monthly profits has been my profitmart site which costs me $20 per month but generate's me over a $100 per month all courtesy of the site admin who share out traffic and sign ups amongst all members and as you get 50% recurring commissions on all the $20 sign ups under you its a real hard cash winner.

I have other programmes that make more profit than profitmart but they all depend on my activity levels in terms of promoting them. A perfect example is my Traffic Sales site which can make me $200 plus per week but requires a lot of hands on management from me and as I am away in Thailand at present I have not promoted it and consequently have not made a sale let alone a profit for 2 weeks!

I have been doing very well with giving away my traffic lessons and have been able to go pro on all 40 of the traffic exchanges now which as you get free referrals on most when you do this has meant I hardly have to click at all and still earn loads of hits courtesy of my downlines.

A Funny Kind of week!

A funny kind of week because its been just over two weeks and I did honestly intend to update weekly as promised in my last post! I don't suppose it matters as no one reads this apart from me so its more a diary and I am just letting myself down when I don't post.
Google are still steadfastly ignoring me as regards my suspended adsense account and I am starting to think I should maybe build a new site just to warn people about the fascist unresponsive dictatorial way that they operate.
The most annoying part of the whole process is that the sales side in the form of adwords can't stop emailing trying to get me to re-instate my campaigns and strangely they are quite capable of responding personally even if it is only to tell me that adsense is nothing to do with them and I should contact them directly. The unfortunate thing about this is that they do not tell me how I get a response as I must now have sent a dozen emails all without a single reply!
Anyway rant over.
The Lorry's gig at Islington Academy was absolutely amazing, the band were so tight and intense with no gaps between the songs. They overwhelmed the venue just driving and building an aural and visual assault to an insane climax rather like being a nail hammered into a piece of ebony. The band played as though they had been rehearsing solidly for the last 25 years and I cant wait till 9th May when they play leeds and are planning to make a decent video and live recording.
My Race Tipping service is doing well being 140 points in profit since the start of the year over the 2 services and my subscriber base is slowly growing.
I have in the last week had a massive concentration on my Profitmart site because not really having promoted it since joining in december I suddenly discovered that the site is making me a good residual income simply from the traffic and sales the program owners generate on your behalf. This is something of a rarity online and can only get better if I start really pushing it myself!
I should probably explain here that I became involved more as a way of concentrating my clickbank products in a single website. Using their services I built my prodigious profits site which acts as a search facility for all my other sites and also links to my bookstore for all my other sites at prodigious books.com.
Finding that I was also making money was just a bonus!
This actually happens quite often as in the case of my David Hall Advertising Services site where I found a wholesale source of traffic and email ads and turned that into a new business while at the same time getting traffic for myself at a very cheap price. The same applies to Website wizard and hostforprofit the two places where I build and host my sites but they also both make me money from referrals I have made, as do all the traffic exchanges as people in my downline upgrade and the whole thing starts to become self funding and actually move into profit.
The main thing you need is patience as if someone tried to set up all that I now have going they would spend weeks and an absolute fortune and be very worried and poor for quite a few months!
The only way (unless you're really lucky) to succeed is to graduate slowly from free to paid as you earn money and gain experience, and do not expect to make an actual income for at least 6 months and more likely a year, but after that its almost like having your own cashpoint in the form of lots of different profit centres all producing money every month.
The whole thing (apart from Adsense) just gets easier as the time goes by. The real challenge is in convincing referrals that they will succeed in the end, as so many just fade away after about 8 to 10 weeks mainly due I think to having unrealistic expectations of the time and effort required to succeed, probably because everyone expects the internet to provide instant results.
The major irony is that once you have built a large mailing list and have thousands of visitors to your sites very day, you can take an "instant cash programme" such as Private Millionaire and plug it into your system and make money straight away but it wont work very well if its one of the first things you try to work with.
I suppose ultimately for all its bangs and whistles, business online is very similar to conventional real world business apart from the fact that the whole world is accessible as a market from your laptop in your front room!

April Dawns

I have been thinking hard about my internet strategy over the last couple of weeks.
I have organically developed the collection of programmes I am involved with over the last few years on a fairly Ad Hoc basis, adding new ones every month or two as they came along and I feel things have become a bit unweildy and I lack a certain amount of focus. Analysing things it seems the most successful are either the ones that I use every day such as Get Response and website Wizard or the traffic generation and sales sites like my freetrafficforu and guaranteedtrafficforu sites. These combine together with my rotator and drive traffic to my best residual income and training type sites Pips and especially SFI . All sounds very simple when I write it down like that but the problem I have is in targeting the different segments of the market, as experienced marketeers are looking for different things to newcomers to making money online.
I have, to a certain extent taken care of this a little bit with the traffic section of my Freetrafficforu site where I sell traffic and solo emails as an affiliate as well as having my own traffic and advertising sales site at guaranteedtrafficforu.
The other thing I find incredibly frustrating is how I can easily get people signed up on the free options on my various programs but getting them to upgrade even on a quality proven program like SFI is really hard seeming to be a ratio of about 1 in 10. I really do not understand people's reticence when it seems perfectly obvious that you can't make any money in anything without investing some money in it wether that be in subscription fees or paying for ads or traffic. Free is fine while someone learns how everything works and looks around in fact I'd say that Free is the right way to start but there comes a point where you have to commit to the business you've chosen. If we take SFI for example you can actually make some money as a free member selling the various products but you'll never make serious profits till you upgrade and also start marketing seriously.
I also have had a couple of strange customers the last week or two at my Guaranteedtrafficforu site with one person ordering a 50,000 visitors recurring monthly package then emailing after 3 days saying that they really meant to buy a Solo ad and could I change it. This was a bizzarre scenario as they have totally seperate web pages and the order process continually states what the product is at each stage. The person could not understand when I pointed out that their site was perhaps not ideal in that all it has at the top of the page is the cliched flash car big house and piles of dollar bills but no text so most people will just move away rather than scrolling down the page as it just screams scam.
Having just talked about nothing free making money I do have to add a note about the best lead source I have found which is Free-Net Leads where I simply bought 50 guaranteed sign ups from guaranteedtrafficforu.com and that put me on the top level getting 80,000 email leads per month all with date of information request and IP address so they are really high quality safe leads that boost my sales with a very low remove rate if you just email them every fortnight or so.
I am having a real hard time with google adsense as they have disabled my account saying simply that they consider my sites a risk to their publishers but not saying why they think that this is the case.I get the impression that this is all done by machine not people.
This has meant I have had to spend hours going through removing all the links on my sites replacing all the google ads with FFA ads instead. I have taken my own petty revenge by cancelling my adwords campaigns but I don't hold out much hope of re instatement since google operate as the new stalinist superstate just look how they have conspired with the chinese government.
They'll probably find some excuse for taking this blog off line now that they have been criticised!
They are just so frustrating since you can't find a human being anywhere there to actually talk to you in fact they are to my mind more invasive and dangerous than microsft have ever got near to being.I am even more enraged with Google as I have been updating the Red Lorry Yellow Lorry site( I have acted as the Bands Manager from the beginning in 1981) because we're doing a few live UK dates and I have found loads of sites through google that are in blatant breach of our copyright and yet they have google ads all over them such double standards really wind me up.
I have gone pro on all my traffic Exchanges as you get random referrals and credits even if you don't surf too much which I am having difficulty doing at present as my real world duties are impinging on my virtual life.
I am busy trying to develop poster sites in Sheffield and Birmingham but the summer festivals are fast approaching and I'll really be under pressure, as I organise all the internal poster advertising at most of these events. This means my online enterprises need to take less than the 3 to 4 hours per day that I am doing at the moment which will be hard especially with my Tipping service alone consuming about an hour each morning. The one blessing is that as you get more online income from your downlines it becomes much easier because you can afford to go pro on many of the traffic generating sites and time is basically exchanged and saved by paying for visitors.
The one thing I really must try to do is to make time to at least update this blog weekly as its a great tool for looking at what you're doing. When I leave it this long everything gets sort of telescoped into a less defined morass of events and its harder to pick out the positive changes that can be made.
Till next time.

Lost time!

I can't believe how long it is since I posted on here the time just seems to have slipped away like a thief in the night!
I have been very busy on and off line but as is often the case when you are rushed off your feet and don't feel you have enough time to get everything done at the end of it all you look back and wonder what the fuss was about all sorted!
I now have over 185 sites in my rotator which is really far too many and means I have to make sure that I'm doing my 1 hour per day on the traffic exchanges to generate the hits I need.
I have gone pro on a few of the exchanges and I have spent a lot of time promoting my Traffic selling site at David Hall Advertising Services as well as using the traffic myself.
I heard a very apt saying the other day which I think may well aaply to me at the moment 'Know Your Business Or Know You Will Fail'
I am getting so wrapped up in the business that I am in danger of forgeting about the making money bit as I sign up for more and more new things so I have tried to concentrate more on just traffic generation for now with no new affiliate programmes that are not related to earning traffic!
SFI is proving the best performer with real cash now coming through after only 4 months of membership. The Eye Earn co-op has proved to be brilliant at getting new sign ups and I'm almost tempted sometimes to give everything else up and just concentrate on that!
I won't however as that would probably be the kiss of death!
I'll try and do a more thoughtful post in a couple of days.

How To Win At Affiliate Marketing

How To Win At Affiliate Marketing has been on my mind over the weekend, as I went away to Aberdeen to celebrate a friends 50th Birthday and so was unable to do any marketing tasks, yet when I got back, I had made a sale of a Bonus Solo Ad on my new venture David Hall Advertising Services.

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting the goods or services of another person in exchange for getting a commission every time that one of those goods or services is sold.
Affiliate marketing can be a very easy way for a person to get something done and when it comes right down to it the low cost and easy time commitments that affiliate marketing brings to the table are exactly what people need when they are starting up a business.
However, this does not mean that everyone that tries affiliate marketing is going to be successful at it, so even though it is one of the easiest ways to start a business online, you still need to know how to win at affiliate marketing.

In real estate, location is the biggest thing.
In affiliate marketing, location is also the biggest thing albeit in a different way.
The location we are looking for in affiliate marketing is not the
geographic or regional location that real estate developers are interested in, but rather the location affiliate marketeers are looking for is the correct market to sell their products in.
Markets are targeted to a variety of different interests and figuring out which markets are likely to like the products you are marketing is part of becoming a great affiliate marketer.
You can make things a lot easier on yourself by ensuring that the affiliate marketing that you do is only directed at markets and people that are actually interested in those particular products.

There is a very sad story in some affiliate marketing circles and it is the story of the person that did not understand leverage.
This person came up with a fantastic marketing plan for affiliate marketing and tried it on one product. That plan worked great, but because the profits that it brought in were not enough to sustain a full time income, the person gave up and heartbreakingly went back to their old job.

What is the lesson here?
The lesson is that people need to consider leverage when they consider how to win at affiliate marketing. Figuring out a strategy that works is hard, but once you have that strategy your next goal becomes to leverage the strategy by applying it to as many different products as possible.

If you can make $100 a week selling a certain product, why not start building up your infrastructure so that you end up making $10,000 a week eventually by selling 100 products that each make $100 a week?

Location and leverage are two examples of things that came about as a result of critical thinking. Someone was faced with a problem (too few people interested in the general public or too little profit from selling one product) and came up with a solution by thinking on their feet. Everything that you do in affiliate marketing will require this type of critical thinking and it would be impossible to go through the hundreds of different ways that this is already true of the field.
Just remember to always re-evaluate the situation you are in and try to think critically about ways that you can make it better.

A perfect example is my recent decision to go into selling visitor packages, solo ads and guaranteed sign ups, at my new David Hall Advertising Services Website which came about because as well as generating my own Free Traffic I was using income generated to buy these packages and I simply decided to find a wholesale source and sign up as a re - seller.
I am now re investing in my business but also turning that investment into another complimentary income stream that enhances my overall offering to my customers.

I think most of us tend to evolve a strategy rather than having a master plan when we start out.
Personally looking back I made a lot of mistakes and with my current level of knowledge would not have done some of the things I did.
I would still start with my Free Traffic Generation System
but I would immediately plug my PIPS site into the system as the training and the programs involved there work really well together especially the Eye Earn Co-Op at SFI.
I would also immediately get my pro FFA Net site going as it creates over 200 new email leads for me every day and I would then just add as many free viral lead creators as I could and only go pro on the ones that seemed to work well for me.

I have Kept the worst till last!
The departure of Dennis and arrival of Gary Mac has not as yet had the desired effect since Leeds lost at home to Tranmere on Saturday but I am hopeful that he will ultimately prevail.
I was at the hospital today for a Glucosamine stress test which involves the taking of 3 blood samples followed by a glucose injection to stress my pituitary gland. I then had 3 samples of blood taken every half hour for the next 3 hours and consequently feel a bit drained if you'll excuse the pun!
I now have to see the consultant in about a month and hopefully everything will still be working ok!
till next week
Onward and Upward or if you're a Leeds Fan On and On!

Another Week Flies By!

I can't believe another 7 days have passed.
I suppose that's one of the great things about being overworked and underpaid!
Well that's how it's feeling at the moment another week, another batch of new programmes joined, more income, but at the same time more expenditure, as I keep upgrading to get the most from my different traffic generation techniques.
I'm still trying to surf an hour a day but I have over 150 sites in my rotator so on top of that free traffic I'm buying traffic and using pro safelists and FFA pages.
I have been quite selective in my choices, testing the free versions out first to judge response before choosing the ones to go Pro on.
The two I chose were Business World for the safelist and FFA Net for the Pro FFA page.
Thats probably why I feel a bit drained, it was all a lot of work as I also added a couple of interesting programmes both quite simple, and both already in Profit!
The first one was a bit of a challenge getting signed up, but I suspect that this is deliberate to check that a) only determined people join up and b) that uplines have to support and communicate with the downlines! An interesting concept and I can't complain, as I set it all up on Wednesday and I am already in profit, now we'll see if I really do become a Millionaire as promised!
The other one is simpler, but also intriguing in that they promise that once you have generated 30 visitors to the temporary url they give you, then they gaurantee to promote your permanent url till you have 30 x $10 sales, and then do the same for each of them, with you being in their upline getting $10 off each. This theoretically gives you a total of $9300, which seems a bit ambitious, although as they say on the site if what you're doing now won't let you risk $25, then you need to do something else!
I think that last comment was the one that sold me and surprisingly I am ahead already in 5 days (only$5) which is positive. This also just promises Dollars not millions.
I'm quite impressed with how my site is looking now at Freetrafficforu even if I do say so myself! I'll have no choice this week but to leave things as they are and just promote rather than add any more pages.
I'm in Sheffield on Monday, London Tuesday then going to the Leeds away game at Southend Tuesday Night, which hopefully will mark a turnaround (Managed to snatch a draw from the jaws of a win on saturday against lowly Luton) in their form!
Wednesday and Thursday I'm back in Sheffield then it's off to Aberdeen on Friday for a friends 50th Birthday on Saturday. I think all that should be a good test for the automated side of my promotions as I'm not going get chance to do much manual promotion amongst all that driving!
I'm going to have an early night for a change.
Till next Time

Sunday 20th Jan 2008 Sales!!!

Hi
As implied by the title its been a really good week with a few of my ebook downloads selling from the store on my site the most popular having been Easy Automated Income which was one of those impulse buys that you instantly regret doing as you're sure despite the blurb that it won't work for you! Well I suppose there's always the exception that prooves the rule and this is fairly steaming out helped in part by my discovery of classified Advertising on Ebay which seems to be a bit of a closely guarded secret and is only available as far as I can see on ebay.com not uk. Brilliant value at under $10 a month and none of the normal rules applying as regards outside links! You just need to go to Ebay.com (open an account if you don't have one) and enter websites then under the drop down categories click on classifieds and follow the instructions to list your advert.
I have bought the Master Re- Sell rights to a brilliant ebook about making money from your Blog which goes into great detail about how to make the most of Google Adsense and similar pay per click adverts on your Blog to earn you some money there is a really good set of free articles on my website Freetrafficforu/Blogging Articles and the ebook itself is available here.
All in all its been an excellent week as apart from the above I had 19 new sign ups for my freetrafficlessons and had sign ups at most of my various programmes including 1 at my Allposters.com site which just really operates as added content on my Freetrafficforu site and also on my Racing site .
Unfortunately this stellar performance has not been matched by the once mighty whites who contrived a 1-0 home loss against Doncaster Rovers who were in Non League Football 2 years ago and we had not even played since 1956! Having said that we deserved absolutely nothing out of the game and in fact it would have been a travesty if we had managed our usual trick of an injury time goal to equalise.
I am actually beginning to wonder if we are going to make the automatic promotion places as the form has taken a serious nose dive now for about 7 weeks and there really isn't any sign of an improvement. I think young Dennis is going to have to give them all a transfusion of his spirit as they just don't seem interested in playing sometimes they can't even string 2 passes together.
I found a great article on website submissions to the search engines which I am going to re print here as others could find it very useful:-
To rank high on Google, your website has to be measured by
“500 million variables and 2 billion terms” of Google’s equation,
as stated on Google’s Corporate Information Technology Overview page. Google’s ranking system is based on a democracy, and the citizens
are the links on the worldwide web that vote for each other.
Not unlike our government today, many of these “links” are paid
for, and some are of greater value. Ranking high on Google is
playing politics. Links and Keywords are the key players in
the ranking game.
Google also takes into consideration the full content of the
page including HTML codes, fonts, subdivisions and the
“precise location of each word.”

Links are votes .
You must develop a link strategy.
Google likes linking things together.
Create a rich network of links with distinct quality content.
Your website must have quality links going out and coming in.
Quality is the key word. Links from reputable pages
(which ironically includes .gov pages) are given more weight
than links on “link farm” pages. Linking to a “link farm”
is one of the worst things you can do and can potentially
get you deported off the web. The better the links, the
better your ranking. Google will factor in your page content
and the content of the pages you link to. Do your research.
Google has a free page rank tool on their toolbar.
Use it to find out the page ranking and visit the site.

Google also gives more weight to one-way links that lead
to your site, and less weight to reciprocal links.
How do you get these?
Buy them. List yourself in a reputable directory listing.
Make sure you are listed in the Open Directory Project
(DMOZ.org). If you can’t buy links, write good content.
Give someone a reason to link to your site. Again, the
keyword is Quality.
Submitting articles and press releases are also strategies
in the linking game.

Keywords are your platform. They are what you stand for.
Words count. Graphics don’t.
Make sure your words are not in graphic form and make sure
you have relevant titles under your graphics.
Start with your title tag. Put everything you stand for in
ten words or less. Make your URLs short and keyword specific.
Brand yourself. If you type in soda, Mountain Dew will not
show up on the first page. If you type in Mountain Dew,
it will be on the first page. Brand yourself so users know
what they are searching for.
Do not put the same words in every heading and every tag.
Be descriptive. Sell yourself. There are multitudes of free
keyword rank and suggestion tools. Use them as a supplement
to your knowledge of your company.

Think of every element in your website as words and pages in
a presentation that is going to be up for a vote.
Does everything fit?
Is it all related?
Are you a reputable company with a quality product?
Does it sell?
Now sell it.
Google is waiting for you .

Personally I found that this was all far too time consuming
and so I used the excellent service available at SpinSuccess
and have engaged them for really not much cost at all to submit my main Freetrafficforu site by hand to all the search engines.
I nearly forgot another great little trick that I discovered ( I say discovered there's probably people out there who've been doing this for years) which is rather than just deleting all the emails I get exhorting me to buy viagra or the latest money making scheme, I would farm the emails and website details and build a kind of reverse marketing mailing list. Obviously all these people are in a similar position to me trying to make a living on line and if I write back saying I have seen their site and I think I can help them I should do ok as my core business is teaching people how to generate free and low cost traffic and as these people tried to sell to me first I am perfectly entitled to reply. This is a lot easier to do since I upgraded to Group Mail 5 for my bulk mailings as I can build the list daily as I go along then email say once a week.
All the Best

Another Busy Week Sunday 13th Jan 2008

Another busy seven days, especially since last week I thought I was just about there, in terms of having everything fine tuned, but as ever, I came across interesting things online during my daily click sessions (as you do) and then had to sign up and add them to my sites where applicable. I think the best programme was from Vortex Marketing where I received an email and moved forward through the sign up process all the time expecting to get hit for some cash, but discovered it was, as it said a totally free position in an international downline building programme. I was quite relieved feeling like I'd emerged unscathed from an ill advised midnight stroll through a perticularly dodgy neighbourhood and so I sent out some emails on Thursday night, and had 18 people signed up under me by friday morning which was a nice result!
Thursday was quite good on the site finding front (in the real world as opposed to the virtual one) as I found 2 very promising locations in Sheffield and had a good chat with the owners and also another 5 that I need to do a bit of research on so I am off to a good start to the year.
I also found a great affiliate programme to add content to my Freetrafficforu site and my racing information site in the form of posters from All Posters.com. I now have a football poster rotating banner on each page of my Racing site which obviously took a bit of time but the results are great!
I also found and joined a few more traffic exchanges but I haven't added them into the course yet as I want to test them out and see how they do before I go telling people to sign up to them.
I have also bought some ebook writing software with full resale rights and I'm selling it at Just $9.97 with full re sale rights. I'm pretty pleased with this as I have already sold 2 copies and I am starting to turn my lessons and experiences into an ebook. I think this blog should prove to be very helpful in that respect although I'll no doubt end up with one of those annoying "I wouldn't start from Here if I were you" Books. I seem to be continually learning and adjusting, and tweaking my site as a consequence and can't decide wether this is because I am getting things wrong or that its the fluid nature of the internet and I'm just being responsive.
I have decided to re launch my horse tipping service at ggking.com by bundling both my Daily Nap and Market Forces services together for £30 per month which considering their combined profits over the last couple of years are just under 1000 points should pull in the customers. The only drawback with the Racing Site is that I have to be careful what links I put up as gambling sites seem to be frowned upon in some areas.
I am also promoting a very good internet marketing book from the people at Pageswirl called Traffic Mastery
which reveals some really good free traffic generation techniques.
Leeds United have made some great signings so far in the January window and I'm feeling positive about the rest of the season now, they are away at Crewe tommorrow and its on the TV again which is good as away tickets are like gold dust.
I will have to take it a bit easier on the internet front this week as I am very busy site finding so I am not going to have much time which might well be a blessing in disguise as it will stop me signing up for any new programmes!
I still think that the best value programme of all the ones I have has to be the profitmart one
as it coordinates so many brilliant features like Google Adsense, Ebay,Amazon and Clickbank and it is so cheap to get going with. I also think its a perfect programme for most people as the y are looking for the pot of gold with little or no work and this is probably the nearest they'll get to that. I have realised that even just setting up my free marketing strategy at Freetrafficforu.com
is too much work for a lot of subscribers even though once its done you just need to do half an hour to an hour per day and you have tons of free traffic to your sites and consequently sales and cash!
Anyway you can only help those who want to help themselves and on that note I'll sign off for the week and wish you all the very best of fortunes in the coming days.

Monday 7th January 2008

Well a very poor New Years Day with Oldham totally outplaying a lacklustre leeds team that had obviously been over indulging during the holidays!
Oldham were taking the mick and Leeds were letting them. They'll have to have a serious look at themselves after this.
Saturday saw a different team out there and resulted in a well deserved win against Northampton.
Now to my recent experiences in cyberspace.
I have been really putting in the hours and I am pretty pleased with how my site is now structured and how it interlinks with my other sites. I now have my own Amazon Book Store linking in to each of my sites and a comprehensive Clickbank directory that serves up relevant niche products for each of my sites from another turnkey site which is only $19 per month including set up domain name and hosting which seems a pretty good deal!
I re wrote my home page yesterday and also added google search boxes to all my pages.
The list building is going well with 17 new subscribers this week, so I should see some more sign ups in my traffic exchanges pretty soon and ultimately more traffic to my site.
I have also added another viral traffic building program that adds another 7 traffic exchanges taking us up to 31 in total but I have set it to go out quite a way down the line as I don't want to overwhelm my subscribers with too much to do.
I am also hoping that now that now that I'm a Google Adsense publisher that will give me a good income stream from all my sites.
I hope that everything is going to work fairly automatically now as I'm going to have much less time due to having to get back out there during the day and find a few sites for advertising hoardings in the real world to get the mortgage paid!

See you soon
David
